BATTERY SOLUTIONS FOR ANY RANGE
Traveler Boards will be sold with one of three battery options: A 274 Wh airline-legal pack, a set of two 99 Wh airline-legal slim packs, or a custom battery platform. All three solutions will be quick-swappable with one another so you can instantly change packs when you need.
Option 1:
A 274 Wh Airline-Legal Pack
Our primary battery offering, the 274 Wh airline-legal pack offers up to 18 miles of range on a single charge. When you need to travel with it, you can take off the pack lid and remove the three individual 91.2 Wh Lithium Ion Polymer hard case batteries from within so that they meet the 100 Wh battery size limit imposed by TSA and other airport security departments. This battery pack features a smart BMS for active cell-balancing, monitoring battery temperatures, preventing short-circuits, and more. Charger is included.
Option 2:
Two 99 Wh Airline-Legal Slim Packs
For those of you who prefer the sleek look of our slim 99 Wh batteries to the additional range of our 274 Wh battery, we will have the option to buy this board with two 99 Wh slim packs that can be taken straight through TSA without disassembly. Just like our 274 Wh pack, these packs will also feature a smart BMS for active cell-balancing, monitoring battery temperatures, preventing short-circuits, and more. Charger is included.
Option 3:
A Custom Battery Platform
For those on a budget or those seeking to make the ultimate long-range street shredding machine, the Traveler Board battery platform allows you to add any aftermarket battery you want. With no ceiling, the battery platform has virtually unlimited vertical space for installing incredibly high-capacity batteries. For example, you could install two 6S Turnigy 16000mAh battery packs for up to 50 miles of range on a single charge. The platform comes with heavy duty velcro and straps for securing battery packs, a short-circuit prevention fuse, and thread-forming screws in case you want to design your own custom enclosure. For those of you who want to directly install two readily-available 6S LiPo battery packs, we will have a preassembled wire harness for this configuration available as soon as shipments begin. Batteries and charger are not included.
